Our project HELIO TOWER has been nominated for the Residential Buildings of the Year Award („Wohnbauten des Jahres 2023”). The award is the only one in the area of multi-story residential construction in German-speaking countries. The 50 best projects selected by a top-class jury are published together with the most innovative product solutions in the associated yearbook by the Callwey publishing house.
HELIO Tower is part of the attractive three-tower residential high-rise project THE MARKS in the third district of Vienna. The remarkable residential complex transforms the city skyline while providing a bustling public plaza and a series of green spaces. The three towers rest atop a common base which serves as a connective element and provides a dynamic mix of spaces for gatherings, leisure, training and shopping. A bicycle arcade with a capacity of more than 2.000 bicycle parking spaces encloses the square. This arcade structure is unique in Austria and makes an important contribution to the issues of environmentally friendly mobility in urban centers.
HELIO Tower appears as a tall, slender, glass structure with a coloured concrete grid. It sets a strong signal for new qualities of living and offers fantastic views over the nearby Prater, the Danube Canal to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and to the east to the Leitha Mountains.
With 401 apartments consisting of one to four rooms, the tower offers a modern and comfortable home designed for different living concepts and needs, making it suitable for every phase of life. Each apartment has several open spaces in the form of loggias and balconies. They extend the living area and provide space for plants, seating areas and deck chairs.
The awards will be officially announced at the award ceremony in October in Munich.
