On October 10th 2023 the Überbau Academy hosted an on-stage seminar in the new quarter “THE MARKS” in Vienna’s third district. The event offered participants the opportunity to gain insight into the newly developed area and included a guided tour through the HELIO Tower by BEHF Architects.
„The Marks“ consists of three towers and offers more than 1.200 modern apartments. The high-rise buildings are set on a plinth, which serves as a connective element and provides a dynamic mix of spaces for gatherings, leisure, training and shopping.
A delicate metal frame encloses the square and forms a continuous arcade, which offers 2,400 parking spaces for bicycles. The top level is designed as a running track. Beyond the space issue the arcade provides an important contribution concerning the environmentally-friendly mobility in metropolitan areas.
BEHF’s HELIO Tower is a tall and slender building made of glass and colored concrete. It has 34 floors, including a three-story base structure and regular tower floors. The tower has 401 apartments with one to four rooms, designed to accommodate different living concepts and needs for people at any stage of life.
