In 1890, Josef Manner I had established his first shop at Stephansplatz. After almost a century, the Manner company returned to Stephansplatz in a newly designed store. BEHF Architects was engaged to develop a sleek and modern look for a flagship store, while retaining the essence of company’s tradition.
Leveraging the brown colour over the space, BEHF has delivered a lively store which looks like it is completely covered with chocolate. A minimalist colour scheme creates a strong frame for a variety of products. The backlighting of the store adds to the effect making the diverse range of well-liked sweets like Manner Wafers look like floating through the space.
The physical space has been aligned with the digital experience via displays placed in the middle of the assortment of famous confectionary brands. The visitors are invited to digitally engage with the products. They can take an inside look at the production of the delightful Manner’s brands and a historical journey through the Manner company via immersive presentations.
